The Domestic Division serves as a filing agent of requests to use copyrighted works whose copyright holders reside in Japan. Since the enactment of the Personal Information Protection Law, the process of searching for the contact information of a copyright holder has become extremely difficult.

This division cultivates communication and develops partnerships with rights holders using its own database of copyright holders, and promotes the prompt and secure handling of copyright permissions.
